Judy Honan Hawkesworth
I am so glad to hear about the 40th reunion and CHS web site. 40 years!!! How could it be? Sometimes I look back and it all seems like a dream. I have been married and divorced, married and divorced, married and widowed and now finally happily married! My husband, Anthony Hawkesworth, and I were married in May of 2005 after meeting almost 10 years ago on the ballroom dance floor!
After living our whole lives in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, we sold out, packed up and moved to Camden, South Carolina. We are thrilled to be away from the congestion, traffic, high cost of living and hectic way of life. Anthony is a retired high school industrial arts teacher and spends most of his time landscaping and restoring our 1830's antebellum home. I am still teaching ballet at a few schools in the area as well as the local Fine Arts Center in Camden. Check it out at: www.fineartscenter.org.
I have two children, Shaun, 34 and Bethany, 31 who both still live in California. I never went to college however have continued to pursue higher education within my field of dance. I hold several "degrees" and sit on the board of directors of a national dance teachers organization, Cecchetti USA. It all started when I was 14 years old and had my own dance program in a local pre-school. Teaching children dance has been my vocation ever since. Some of you may remember me dancing the part of "Laurie" in the CHS production of Oklahoma?
I still hear from Janet Patton.....In fact she was at my wedding. She has moved up to San Francisco. I would love to hear from Renee Cambon, Cathy Bartlett and Linda Jacovino. Where are you? I am still "in love" with Bill Wood.....wrong time and place I guess and.....Steve White, I had such a crush on you in grammar school! Remember when we shared the same desk?
I would love to come to the reunion. I am back and forth to California several times a year. If anyone remembers me and would like to keep in touch that would be great!
