Covina High School Class of 1968

Pat Ryan

Hello All!

Wow almost forty years! The years seemed to have flown by. It has been really interesting catching up with people on the website. I was also saddened to see that some of our classmates have passed on. It really puts life in perspective.

So what have I been doing for the past 38 years? Well after graduating, I, like probably some of us, really struggled with what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. After bouncing around in college, getting drafted, serving a tour of duty in Vietnam, marrying another Covina High grad (Karen Beisner class of 72) and starting a family, I settled in on a career in sales working for a food ingredient company, selling spices, seasonings and flavorings to the food industry. It would be a career that would last over 27 years.

After Karen and I divorced in 1997, I was transferred from California, through business, to Colorado where I met my current wife, Kathleen. Kathleen, and I currently live in Castle Rock, Colorado where we have a recruiting business that places sales and marketing executives with food companies nationwide. I have three wonderful children (twin sons Scott and Chris and a daughter, Braylynne) from my first marriage. I also have a wonderful stepdaughter (Jacquelyn) through my marriage to Kathleen.

This past year has been very exciting as I was blessed with the birth of my first two grandchildren (Dylan Patrick and Payton Olivia). Although my father passed away in 1997, my mother still resides at Sun Lakes retirement community in Banning, CA.

Hopefully that gives you a snap shot of what has been going with me. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you at the class reunion in '08.

Take care,
     Pat
